PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a working fluid, having excellent characteristics as a refrigerant equal to or higher than those of R22 without any dangerousness of destroying the stratospheric ozonosphere. SOLUTION: This working fluid is used in a freezing cycle, equipped with a compressor, a condenser, a decompressor and an evaporator in a circuit and composed so as to successively circulate the working fluid therethrough, comprises four components of pentafluoroethane, 1,1,1-trifluoroethane, 1,1,1,2- tetrafluoroethane and cyclopropane at <=30wt.% mixing ratio of the cyclopropane in the four components (with the proviso that 0wt.% is not included). The residual pentafluoroethane is mixed with the 1,1,1-trifluoroethane and 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane at a mixing ratio so as to provide freezing effects and the coefficient of performances(COP) equal to or higher than those of R22 and the discharge pressure within the range comparable to that of the R22. |
