PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take the error measure of printing data. SOLUTION: For example, the command data of 8 bits from the main body 101 of a host computer 100 is supplied to an interface circuit 102 as it is while the printing data of 6 bits therefrom is supplied to an addition circuit 103 of error detection data. Error detection data of one bit setting '0', for example, when all of even number parity, odd number parity and 6 bits are '1' and/or setting '1' when all of 6 bits are '0' is formed and added to an LSB of 8 bits wherein printing data is provided to 6 bits on the side of an MSB. The printing data of 8 bits to which this error detection data is added is supplied to the interface circuit 102. Further, the control signal from the main body 101 is supplied to the interface circuit 102 and arbitrary command data and printing data are selected to be transmitted. |
