PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color photographic recording material having enough graininess for high sensitivity. SOLUTION: This material has sensitivity for a camera and has at least structural layers described below having sensitivity for a part in the visible spectrum on a transparent supporting body. (1) A silver halide emulsion layer which is spectrally sensitized and contains an effective amt. of FAR coupler (a coupler which releases a group to produce fog nuclei during coupling), and if necessary, contains a color coupler which couples a dye of the additive complimentary color for the spectral sensitization of the layer (a) during the color developing process. (2) At least one silver halide emulsion layer unit including a silver halide emulsion layer of fine particles which has low photosensitivity and is adjacent to the layer (a) and in which silver halide particles are not spectrally sensitized. In this emulsion layer unit, a layer (b) contains a color coupler which couples a dye in the additive complementary color to the spectral sensitization of the layer (a) during the color developing process and the mol amt. of the color coupler in the layer (b) is larger than that in layer (a).
