<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance general-purpose input device (panel interface) as the substitute for a keyboard. SOLUTION: The keyboard is used by being simulated on a touch panel based on the flat display of liquid crystal, etc. Further, the arrangement of the keyboard is made intelligent while effectively utilizing the merit that plural pictures can be utilized. For example, a picture lining up keys in the order of English alphabets for pen input or a picture directly displaying Japanese syllabary characters is prepared as well. Also the panel interface is made high in performance so that control function (such as the channels of television) other than the keyboard can be realized thereon. Further, the panel interface can be customized.</p> |
