<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recycle waste cured unsaturated polyester resins into starting materials of industrial value by chemically decomposing the waste resins with a simple equipment. SOLUTION: Waste cured unsaturated polyester resins are ground and decomposed at 100-300 deg.C desirably under elevated pressure in the presence of a catalyst and 0.2-30 (in terms of a ratio to the waste resins) at least one component selected from among saturated dicarboxylic acids, unsaturated dicarboxylic acids, alkyl saturated dicarboxylates, aryl saturated dicarboxylates, alkyl unsaturated dicarboxylates, aryl unsaturated dicarboxylates, diamines, bisphenol derivatives, dithiols, etc., and the raw materials for resins are recovered.</p> |
