<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of problem such as slant feeding or multiple feeding of paper resulting from the event that a corner claw positioned on one side of two corner parts on the leading side of paper feed tray in the paper feeding direction is always in contact with an upper surface of corner part of stacked recording paper sheets. SOLUTION: This device comprises a bottom plate 6 for stacking thereon recording paper sheets, the plate 6 being supported to move up and down freely, a paper feed roller 10 feeding paper by rotating while being in contact with the uppermost surface of recording paper on the bottom plate 6, and a single corner claw 3 being in contact with one corner part of recording paper on the bottom plate.
