PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a desired copy output even if a document in any direction is set in any direction by detecting the direction of an image of a processing object image, and synthesizing plural processing object images as a single synthetic image according to it. SOLUTION: An image direction detecting means 160 judges the direction of an image from image data of a document and the direction of a document from a main CPU 91. An image arrangement determining means 162 determines the size of an image to be changed, an angle to be rotated and also an arrangement position of the image on the basis of the direction of a document and a detecting result by the image direction detecting means 160. An image size converting/image rotating means 163 outputs an image memory address to a page memory 98 on the basis of a result of the image arrangement determining means 162 and a copy shape signal from the main CPU 91, and outputs a reading-in address to a buffer memory area and a writing-in address to an image synthesizing area when an image is synthesized. |
