PURPOSE:To inspect a columnar structure in water by the remote operation from the land from cleaning to inspection by one underwater work by forming the monitor frame opposed to a columnar surface to be inspected in water into a circular arc frame body concentric to the surface to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:An apparatus 10 is equipped with the apparatus frame 11 opposed to the surface of a columnar structure being a surface to be inspected and the frame 11 is internally loaded with an underwater video camera 12, a discharge jig/surface polishing device 13 and an ultrasonic probe 14. The frame 11 opposed to the columnar surface to be inspected in water is formed into a circular arc frame body concentric to the surface to be inspected and contact plates 30 for positioning the apparatus 10 to the surface to be inspected are provided on both side parts of the frame 11. Further, a fixing mechanism 29 grasping the columnar surface to be inspected under pressure to fix the same is provided and cleaning and inspection machineries for the surface to be inspected are mounted in the frame 11 so as to be movable in horizontal, before-and-behind and up-and-down directions. Then, cleaning before inspection and inspection after cleaning are performed by the cleaning and inspection machineries and work is monitored by a work monitor device. By this method, the columnar structure can be inspected by remote operation. |
