PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic having excellent moisture retention, effective for health of skin and beautiful skin, having an excellent feeling in use, containing an extracted solution of gamete formed at lower part of fundamental shoot of ripened wakame seaweeds. CONSTITUTION:Dried gamete formed at lower part of fundamental shoot of ripened wakame seaweeds is dried and thinly cut. The cut gamete is incorporated with 20 times as much as 1% aqueous solution of sodium citrate, extracted under heating (40-60 deg.C) while stirring, the prepared extract solution is heat- treated at 120 deg.C under 1kg/cm<2> for 10-40 minutes, filtered by sellaite and then filtered by a membrane to give an extracted solution. 0.1-50wt.%, preferably 1-20wt.% of the extract solution is added to a cosmetic base, an auxiliary, etc. The extract solution is a yellowish brown liquid having slight viscosity, properties of 0.99-1.01 specific gravity, pH7.0-7.5, 0.6-1.0% distillation residue, <=20 cps viscosity and 15-40mg/d (calculated as fucoidan) determined value and contains 10-15% protein, 50% polysaccharide, 1.5% lipid, 20-30% cellulose, inorganic substances, vitamins, etc. |
