The aperture (2) in a magnetic shield (3) facing the fluorescent screen of the image intensifier is covered by a screening film (1) during one step of the process of application of adhesive to both of these constituents. The film can also be welded or otherwise bonded to the magnetic shield in a housing (4) of the image intensifier. The use of a spring element for assembly of the film and shield is avoided.
