Plant converting biological material feedstock to dried and carbonised fuel for pulverisation

A new plant makes friable fuel from bio-materials, for pulverised fuel firing. In the improved unit, a feed hopper unit (6, 7) connects to a de-gasification channel (1). The unit has conic section, and includes preheating (18) and main heating- (25) chambers. The channel passes via the degasified material extractor (8, 9) into a metering bunker (10). The conical de-gasification channel is fed (6, 7) at the larger end, its smaller end connecting to the extractor (8, 9) at the smaller cross section following the main heating chamber (25). Into the preheating chamber, a hot gas line (34) is connected. Into the main heating chamber (25) a hot steam- and/or weak gas- and/or oxygen line (26) is connected.
