PURPOSE:To provide a liquid crystal display device having excellent workability to connect particularly a TAB film and a printed circuit board and its assembly method. CONSTITUTION:Tapes for temporally fixing the TAB film formed by applying a both-side adherable adhesive 1 on slender backing paper in the form of a thin film apart with a spacing corresponding to the spacing between wiring patterns 8 on the printed circuit board 7 are stuck to the prescribed points of the printed wiring board 7 with the adhesive 1. The adhesive 1 is then exposed by peeling the backing paper and thereafter, the part near the other side edge 5b of the TAB film 5 on which a circuit 9 for driving liquid crystals is mounted and which is connected at one end to the liquid crystal panel 6, is adhered to the adhesive 1 surface. The other side edge 5b of the TAB film 5 is temporally fixed to the prescribed position of the printed wiring board 7 and thereafter the wiring patterns 5c of the TAB film 5 and the wiring patterns 8 on the printed wiring board 7 are connected with solder 4. |
