PURPOSE:To provide a method for connecting the electrodes of a photosensitive drum capable of surely executing continuity of the photosensitive drum for which an insulating film, such as anodized aluminum film, is used as a charge implantation prohibiting layer, even if mechanical film destruction is not executed. CONSTITUTION:The electrode 2 and a flange 3 are built into the photosensitive drum 1 consisting of a photoreceptor obtd. by forming a photoreceptor surface on the outside surface of a pipe stock corksisting of aluminum or aluminum alloy having the anodized aluminum film on the surface, the flange 3 for supporting this photoreceptor and the electrode 2 mounted at this flange 3 and thereafter, the electrode 5 is inserted which comes into nearly equal and uniform contact with the bore of the photoreceptor is inserted therein from the opposite side of the photoreceptor. Voltage pulses above the breakdown voltage of the anodized aluminum film, generally >=1kv, are impressed between the electrode 5 and the electrode 2 mounted at the flange 3 from a power source 6. |
