<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and easily perform the qualitative and quantitative analysis of a bio-secretion, particularly, sebum by adhering to the secretion to a plastic material surface, and quantitatively determining the component and the present quantity by infrared spectral analysis. SOLUTION: A bio-secretion is stuck onto a plastic material having good coutact with a living body. A one with a large sampling quantity such as saliva is adhered by stripping, while a one with a small sampling quantity is adhered by closely adhering the plastic material to the secrete and transferring it to the plastic material. The adhered sample is analyzed by infrared spectral analysis (total reflection method). On the other hand, a standard sample of a material to be analyzed is formed, treated in the same manner, and subjected to infrared spectral analysis to form a standard spectrum pattern. The obtained spectrum of the material to be analyzed is compared with the standard sample and fitted thereto. Thus, the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the material to be analyzed, particularly, sebum can be easily and quickly performed.</p> |
