PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic answering telephone system capable of calling even a portable telephone set outside an area by automatic dialling so as to automatically transmit a business message from a caller. SOLUTION: For bell-incoming call with a main wire, the automatic answering telephone system automatically executes answering so as to reproduce a response message which is previously recorded in a recording/reproducing device 15 and to transmit it. When the business message is transmitted from the caller after that, the business message transmitted from the caller is inputted and the recording/reproducing device 15 records it. Then, the telephone system executes automatic dialling to the in-area call number of the portable telephone set of an owner, which is previously registered in the memory 21. When there is no response because the portable telephone set is outside the area, the telephone system executes automatic dialling to the outside-area call number which is registered in the memory 21 again so as to call the portable telephone set outside the area. Then, when there is a response from the portable telephone set, the recording/reproducing device 15 reproduces the business message, transmits it to the main wire and transmit it to the portable telephone set. |
