<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the erroneous detection of a mobile object. SOLUTION: Plural heads 14 are parallelly provided above a detection line crossing a road and their outputs are connected along the detection line after the execution of A/D conversion 20 and binarization 22. In prescribed order, a vehicle detection pre-processing such as hole filling-up, noise removal, width holding, Y-shaped deformation prevention, delay and maximum width check to provided 0/1 connection data. After the vehicle detection preprocessing, a vehicle detection processing part 28 separately detects an approaching vehicle/ following vehicle/corrected/erased vehicle from the 0/1 connection data.</p> |
