PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a speech range from a master set to a slave set by using a slave set in the speech range so as to relay a radio signal when a slave set of a communication object is outside the speech range from the master set. SOLUTION: When slave sets, e.g. 5, 6 among plural slave sets 4, 5, 6 are at a distance disabling direct radio communication from a master set 3, the master set 3 sends a relay request to the slave set 4 within the reception range from the mater set 3. The slave set 4 receiving the relay request uses its inter- slave-set communication function to relay a radio signal from the master set 3 to a communication object master set 3 slave set, e.g. the slave set 6. Thus, the master set 3 is able to communicate with the slave set 6 at a position out of direct reach of the radio signal via the slave set 4. Thus, the speech range from the master set 3 to the plural slave sets 4, 5, 6 is extended and the user effectively utilizes a small output slave set outdoor. Furthermore, in this case, the position of the slave set 4 is fixed and the communication between the master set 3 and the slave sets 5, 6 at a remote location is conducted via the slave set 4 to extend the communication range, then the relay procedure is simplified. |
