PRODUCTION OF RAW YARN FOR LEADER FOR FLY-FISHING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a raw yarn for a leader for fly-fishing preventing the formation of an unstable part (neck) having a diameter thinner than the average line diameter of the tippet part at the transition part from a tapered part to the tipped part. SOLUTION: A raw yarn for a leader for fly-fishing composed of a butt part, a tapered part and a tippet part is produced by extruding a vinylidene fluoride resin monofilament through a spinning nozzle and cooling the monofilament by passing through a refrigeration medium in a cooling bath. The raw yarn is formed in the order of the tippet part, the tapered part and the butt part by varying the extrusion rate or the take-up speed.
