PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method in which uniform remnant ashing is realized with high efficiency by jetting uniformly netutral active seeds of plasma directly on a vulcanization remnant surface of the vulcanizing mold. SOLUTION: An annular cavity is faced to an annular vulcanizing mold inner side surface in a vacuum treatment tank, and microwaves are transmitted to the cavity, and the microwaves are emitted to the inner side surface a vulcanizing mold through a number of coupling slots formed on the outer side of the cavity. Also reactive gas is jetted in the treatment tank between the vulcanizing mold inner side surface and the cavity, and plasma containing neutral active seeds as a main component is formed by the reactive gas and the emission of microwaves, and the ashing of elastomer remnants is carried out by at least one of the formed plasma gas or neutral active seed gas contained in the plasma gas.
