PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device simple in constitution and capable of supplying and recovering developer without being leaked by using the mortion particular to a rotary body. SOLUTION: In this device, the developer cartridge 10 for supplying the developer L is attached detachably to an developing unit 12, and the developer cartridge 10 can be replaced, as necessary. Therefore, the developing unit 12 can be miniaturized. The excess developer L in the developing unit 12 is recovered from the developing unit 12 to the developer cartridge 10 through a discharging pipe 70 by using the change of action direction of gravity by rotation of a rotary body. In such a manner, the attachment of a special recovering container is not required since the excess developer L is recovered into the developer cartridge 10, therefore mounting space is made small. |
