PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remotely and easily identify the component or the like of an object member with high accuracy without directly touching it with hands or approaching it by identifying the object member by irradiating that object member with light and detecting reflected light. SOLUTION: Radiation light is outputted from two light emitting diode flood instruments 4a and 4b and a marking area 3 on the surface of an object member 2 is irradiated with that light. The reflected light reflected by the marking area 3 is converged by a lens 5a and narrowed by a diaphragm member 5b and afterwards, the image of marking 3 is formed on a photoelectric transducing plane 6a of a CCD image sensor 6. The sampling of reflected light due to an optical system 5 for sampling is performed out of the direction of regular reflection (mirror reflection direction). Then, difference is generated between the quantity of detected light diffused and reflected from the smooth area of marking area 3 and the quantity of detected light diffused and reflected from the rough area. A data processor 7 can discriminate this difference and remotely read the marking 3 corresponding to the difference in roughness on the surface. |
