Purlins (10) are kept at a fixed distance by tie beam pairs (1) carried by supports (2,3). The purlins are permanently clad with projecting support strips (12) on their undersides in the longitudinal direction and also with longitudinal end strips (13) over the side walls of the purlins. The end strips of the purlins neighbouring the support strips carry plate-form ceiling elements in rows net to each other. Board or board sections serve as the support strips. The purlins are seated in a U-shaped beam seating (11) formed from the side walls and support strips which are nailed onto the purlin. The beam seating is fixed to the tie beam. The support strips extend into the zone between the tie beams and are clamped onto the purlins. The ceiling elements are formed from foamed synthetic material.
