Smart card with manual inputs

The smart card is formed with a main body 14 that has a recess into which is located the electronic circuit chip 12. The top is enclosed by an inset panel 16 which has a contact pad region for external data exchange. A display, keyboard and a pair of input keys in the left and right corners are provided. The inset back panel 18 is of plastic such as PVC and is formed with contact strips on the inner surface that connect pair of input keys.
