The signal lighting strip is produced with a housing [5] that runs a major part of the length of the rear windscreen [15]. Projecting lugs [30] on the housing are provided to allow fixing to the vehicle body shell [28] with the aid of screws [31]. Set into the housing is a circuit board [13] that has a mounted light source [14]. Positioned in front of this is a sealing strip [11] that latches into position against formed stops [8]. This is of transparent material and directs the light output onto the rear window.
