<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize various coal ashes having a different content of CaO. SOLUTION: Water, hot water and/or seawater are used as a kneading water in accordance with the CaO content of a coal ash, the salinity of the kneading water is controlled to <=3.5wt.% and the temp. to 15-98 deg.C, the amt. of the kneading water to be used is adjusted to 2-30%, and hence the pH of the humidified and kneaded coal ash is regulated to pH 11.0-12.0 in a high-speed humidifier 32. In this case, the ash is agitated by an impeller rotating at a high speed of 100-1000 r.p.m., humidified and kneaded. At least one kind of alkali agent selected from a group consisting of slaked lime, quick lime, limestone, dolomite, blast-furnace slag powder, waste concrete powder and cement is preferably added by 0.1-5wt.% in accordance with the CaO content of the coal ash. Water, hot water and/or seawater are added to the stabilized ash, the admixture is kneaded by a kneader 40 to form the concnd. slurry, and the slurry is transported to a dump 46 through a pipe or to a field of construction work by vehicle.</p> |
