PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catalyst excellent in catalyst regenerating capacity and having high activity. SOLUTION: This regeneration method of a zeolite catalyst for hydrating cyclic olefin in a liquid phase to obtain the corresponding cyclic alcohol is to carry out an acid treatment process by dispersing zeolite with an average primary particle size of 0.5μm or less and an average secondary particle size of 0.05-10μm in an acid aq. soln., and treating the same at 0-150 deg.C under pressure of 0.05-2Mpa for a treatment time of 0.1-100hr by using stirring power of 0.001-3W/l.
