REINFORCED POLYESTER BLOCK COPOLYMER COMPOSITION AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compsn. excellent in toughness, elongation, impact resistance, strengths, elastic modulus, heat resistance, etc., by compounding a polyester block copolymer with a specific phyllosilicate. and other reinforcing fillers. SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. polyester block copolymer comprising arom. polyester segments and polyether segment and/or aliph. polyether segments with 0.1-100 pts.wt. phyllosilicate compd. having an average particle size of 25μm or lower and 0-100 pts.wt. other reinforcing fillers. All or a part of the basal plain distances of the silicate compd. are 30Åor higher, and in an IR spectrum of the compd. obtd. from a soln. of the compsn. in a specific solvent, the transmission at 1725±50cm<-1> satisfied the relation: (T0 -T)×100>=1.5 (wherein T0 is the IR transmission of the compd. before compounded; and T is that of the compd, obts. from the soln.).
