PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a high-purity allyl perfluoroalkyl ether useful as an intermediate for producing surfactants and oilproof and waterproof treating agents in high yield in a short time without causing wastes. SOLUTION: A perfluoroalkyl alcohol represented by the formula Rf -(CH2 )n - OH [Rf is a perfluoroalkyl; (n) is a number of 1-12] (e.g. 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol) is reacted with an allyl halide (e.g. allyl chloride) in the presence of a solid alkali (NaOH having 0.01-1mm particle diameter) without using a solvent to afford an allyl perfluoroalkyl ether represented by the formula Rf -(CH2 )n -O-CH2 - CH=CH2 , e.g. allyl ((perfluorooctyl)ethyl) ether. |
