Welded seams control method for packing container

The controlling method is carried out using packing material strips for packing containers (12) as tubular bags. The strips have respectively a transparent carrier layer and a coloured in sealing layer at least in the region of the welded seam. The control of the welding seams is carried out by a sensor (32) in a transillumination method. The welded seams in a control unit are conveyed passing continuously the optical sensor (32). At least one light source (33) and a control unit (30) having at least one optical sensor are provided. The sensor and the light source are arranged on different sides of the welded seam.
