The stand has a vertically swivel-mounted head with a leg coming down from it. The leg is made up of telescopic tubes which are lockable. The thinnest tube is fixed to the swivel-mounted head. The thickest tube ends in a hemispherical foot which rotates horizontally on a grooved bearing. The foot is made of highly elastic material for good ground holding. The lowest tube has a mounting for a counterweight. The swivel-mounted head ends in a hand grip, padded at the side and top. The padding at the top serves as a fastening to the camera. A shock absorber is mounted at the front of the stand between the top of the hand grip and the bottom of the vertical swivel joint.
