Accurate surface measurement method for building structures

The method involves using a theodolite, a laser device (4) and a telescope (2) with crossed-wires. The data acquired from the laser distance measurement device and theodolite can be fed to an electronic computer for signal processing and storage. The measurement beam emitted by the laser device is directed without reflectors towards at least two measurement points on the surface of a building structure. The resulting distance data for the two measurement points are fed to the computer which derives a virtual plane for each building wall. The telescope with crossed wires is then used to determine the limiting edges of each building wall.
