Car headlamp

A headlamp for a car has at least two bulbs for the light source. They can be operated either alternately or together, or in a mixed regime of both modes. The light beams from the bulbs are reflected with different characteristics. One beam is a concentrated beam and the beam from at least one other bulb is a horizontally scattered one. The changeover from one headlamp mode to another is done automatically according to the driving conditions, eg, speed. For low speeds the beam is the horizontally scattered one but for higher speeds, the concentrated beam is used. Other driving conditions to be accounted for include the stretch of road in front of the car and the weather.
