PURPOSE:To easily correct a color reproducibility of an input color image by a method wherein a second color correction part in which color specification system data from a first color correction part is processed is provided in an image processor separately from the first color correction part. CONSTITUTION:In a full-color digital copying machine, an image processor 23 comprises a reading characteristics correction process part 23a for a color image reader 22, a color correction masking process part 23b wherein the color reproducibility of the image data therefrom is corrected, and an image process part 23c for the image data. The image data according to a RGB density from an original 21 read by the color image reader 22 is converted to XYZ data serving as a predetermined color specification system in the reading characteristics correction process part 23a. Thereafter, in the color correction masking process part 23b the XYZ data is converted to CMY data and the color reproducibility of the original 21 is corrected. After the image data was processed to various types of images in the image process part 23c, a predetermined color print 25 is outputted from a full color printer 24. In this manner, the color reproducibility of an input color image can be corrected without difficulty. |
