PURPOSE:To provide a random-access automatic rack system which allows the possibly effective use of a facility space where manufacturing facilities and shelf devices are furnished and the efficient transfer of carried materials between the shelf device and the manufacturing facility and between the manufacturing facilities via the shelf device is made. CONSTITUTION:Hollow delivery stations 41-4n are provided in a shelf device 2 annexed to a manufacturing facility 1 so as to be freely pulled out of the shelf inside to a hollow or out of the hollow into the shelf inside so that the hollow delivery stations 41-4n can be operated by a control unit 6 under the control of the manufacturing facility 1.
