<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image having satisfactory electrostatic chargeability. SOLUTION: A mixture (I) contg. a self-water-dispersible resin (A) obtd. by neutralizing a resin (A') which can be made self-waterdispersible by neutralization with a neutralizing agent, an org. solvent (B) dissolving the resin A and a colorant (c) as essential components is subjected to phase inversion emulsification in an aq. medium to form self-water-dispersible resin particles contg. the colorant C in an encapsulated state and the particles are separated and dried to produce the objective toner. A colorant having polarity reverse to that of the resin A' is used as the colorant C.</p> |
