PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a condition that the tip of a heater is butted certainly with the bottom of the internal chamber of a sensor element and prevent damage of the heater and sensor element at the time of installation. SOLUTION: To install a heater 3 on a sensor element 2, first the heater 3 is inserted into an internal chamber 20 so that such a condition is obtained that the heater tip 301 is butted with the bottom surface 201 of the internal chamber 20. Then a metal holder 4 is moved toward the bottom surface 201 of the sensor element 2, being slided on the outer side face 309 of the heater 3, and is fastened to the sensor element 2. |
