PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an amount of a remaining tape in a taper feeder through simple constitution. SOLUTION: A reel 15 around which a tape 16 is wound is rotatably supported. A tape feeder 4 is constituted in such a manner that the tape 16 is outputted from the reel 15 and guided to a part take-out part 18. A reel press 13 to prevent the occurrence of a slack of the tape 16 is pressed from the outside of the tape 16 wound around the reel 15 and an index part 13b forced into a standing-upright attitude when an amount of a remaining tape attains a specified value is arranged integrally with the reel press 13. Remaining amount detecting means 5 each consisting of a device 5a on the light emission side and a device 5b on the light receiving side are arranged on both sides of the tape feeder 4. When the index part 13b is brought into a standing-upright attitude, light irradiated from the light emission part 34 of the device on the light emission side toward the light receiving part 35 on the light receiving side device is cut off by the index part 13b and the cut-off is announced to an operator by an announcing means. |
