In the heating mode, the fluid of the air-conditioning circuit circulates in a bypass branch (3) while avoiding the condenser (6). The evaporator (5) receives the fluid in a gas status and acts as a heat exchanger in order to dissipate the heat produced in the compressor (4). The heat dissipated by the evaporator may be used to heat the vehicle occupants' space when the heat produced by the vehicle engine is insufficient. Furthermore, the fluid pressure at the inlet of the evaporator, and consequently the calorific power produced by the latter, are regulated by a pressure regulator (15) arranged in the bypass branch (3).
