The burner consists of a frame (866) moved over the surface to be treated and is equipped with burners on bars. It also has one or more supports (31, 32) for liquefied gas cylinders which release a combustible gas by vaporisation. The frame has a reheater (890, 891, 898) for the gas cylinders, to recirculate a heat-carrying fluid from a heat source to the cylinder walls. It can be in the form of heat absorbers (892, 893) in thermal contact with the burners and a fluid collection chamber (895) which can occupy two positions. The heat absorbers are in the form of fluid circulating pipes connected to heat conducting bars (880, 883) adjacent to the burners.
