The three dimensional structure has extended elements assembled at their ends by nodes. This is carried on vertical mounts (4) to form two surfaces (5) flat or curved, that make up the slopes (5a) of the roof of a building framework. The assembly nodes have a plate (6) with one face (7) carrying the joining arms (9) which radiate, as required, and to which the ends of the elements (2) are fixed (20). Some of the arms are assembled in pairs by connecting plates (13) extending in a plane parallel to the plane of the plate. The fixing for the extended elements onto the joining branches are at a distance from the centre (C) of the plate less than that to edge of the plate (13A) and the thickness of the joining arm. The connecting plates and the plate are such that their mechanical moments of inertia along the joining arms are equivalent to that of the extended elements.
