PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store and restore emulation context in a processor executing a host application and emulating a guest application. SOLUTION: This processor 10 includes an operating system and a first register to be stored and restored by the operating system while a host application context is switched. These method and system include a step changing the name of a special purpose register to the first register when a guest application is emulated. When the emulation context switching is performed, the first register is used without changing the operating system and the storage and restoration of the context of the special purpose register are executed.
