Electric connector with housing element

The connector has a housing element (27) with channels (26). Each channel is arranged to receive a socket type electric contact member inserted from an insert end (24). A locking key (29) is movable in an opening (28) perpendicular to the channels (26) and has a row of slits (32) which are aligned with the channels (26). Each contact member has a first part (1) with a sprung clamp (5) at one end and an attachment arrangement (2,3) for an electric lead, at the other end. It also has a sleeve (15) as a second part. This is fastened to the first part at the end opposite the attachment end. The second part (15) has sprung tongues (19) which cooperate with the sprung clamp (5). A profile section (8) is provided between the sleeve end and the attachment arrangement end. This section is received in the slits (28) of the key (29). The sleeve (15) has a hump to cooperate with a guide groove in the respective channel, and a retaining tongue extending at one end into the profile section. Each channel (26) has a furrow in the section between the insert end and the opening. The depth of the furrow increases from part of its length towards the opening and the furrow (42,43) holds the retaining tongue.
