PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission fault relieving system for which it is not necessary to previously set a path for relief between digital cross connect systems (DCS) when any fault is generated on a path between add-drop multiplexers(ADM). SOLUTION: Concerning the relief process of path set between the ADM connected between the DCS, it is previously set to perform the process by activating the automatic communication network recovery processing (TRAINS) of present DCS to the DCS. When a fault occurs on the path of the ADM, the report of fault occurrence from the ADM is received by a frame pattern normality judge part 18, and the TRANS is activated by issuing the occurrence report of path-alarm indication signal (AIS) translated into the terminating point identifier of virtual path set in advance through a cross connect agent 12 so that the TRANS can be activated. Thus, a detour path is set and the ADM path fault is relieved. |
