PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the satisfactory convergence characteristic by updating the amplitude based on the equivalent transmission characteristic data corresponding to the angle frequency of every degree among those components of an adaptive coefficient vector when the fluctuation of the primary angle frequency of a periodic signal reaches its prescribed level. SOLUTION: The estimate ak corresponding to the primary angle frequencyωand the Gkp hat are read out of the equivalent transmission characteristic data 13 when the control is started and also when a frequency fluctuation decision means J1 decides that the fluctuation of the frequencyωof a periodic signal reached its prescribed level. These estimate hats are sent to the adaptive coefficient updating algorithm 11 via a path P1, and the amplitude ak and the convergence stable coefficient Gkp hat are updated among the adaptive coefficient vector W(n) components. Thus it is possible to perform the adaptive control at a speed higher than the convergence velocity that is secured by the single algorithm 11 even when the amplitude ak of the periodic signal differs according to the difference of frequencyωof the periodic signal.
