Operating system intended for compacting and disinfecting hospital waste, eliminating the risk of contamination during its transportation and storage, enabling it to be handled as urban waste. This system is characterized by the use of rubbish- collection bags as disinfection reactors. The bag is placed in a container where a compression mechanism is mounted at the top. In a first movement of approximation of the compressor plate, a set of needles perforates the closed bag, injecting a disinfectant solution. The compression plate of the press continues to advance, causing the load and the disinfectant solution to move, forcing the excess of liquid to exit, compacting the load and breaking any containers that there might be. The compacted waste is confined in new packaging. The vapours from the disinfectant continues to act, destroying the more resistant microorganisms. The packaging is hermetic, ensuring containment of the load and the prolonged action of the disinfectant.
