The knitted mantle is designed for machines used for crushing or for surface treatment of grain, grain products and other bulk materials. It increases the productivity and the technological effect of the crushers and grain treatment machines without changing their principle of operation and the power consumption. The mantle is in the form of a screen knitted from fibres having oval or angular section in a knitted fabric made of perpendicularly positioned fibres. The fibres cross two by two, getting on top and on bottom in succession towards each other and in every next row or column they are shifted by one step thus forming corrugated surface having rectangular apertures.
