LIGHT WAVEGUIDE MODULE

A light waveguide module such that the number of components of a package for storing a light waveguide device for optically connecting optical fiber cables is decreased and the module has a structure for protecting the optical waveguide device from a stress resulting from an environmental temperature change, impact acting from outside, and so forth. This optical waveguide module is equipped with a reinforcing member directly bonded to a buffer protective material covering the optical waveguide device. The reinforcing member is a sheet member both ends of which are so bent as to face each other. The optical waveguide device covered with the buffer protective material is housed inside the internal space.
