PURPOSE:To obtain a paper-regulating mechanism simple in construction and having a high positioning accuracy, by detachably fitting a paper guide plate provided with a plurality of parallel grooves in a diagonal direction and a paper width determining member capable of being slidden laterally, to a main body of a printer. CONSTITUTION:A paper guide plate 10 is provided with comprises a plate body conforming to a printing width of a printer and is provided with a projected streak part 12 having a slant surface and extending in the paper width direction on the back side of the plate body. A paper width determining member 20 is provided which comprises bent parts respectively on the upper and lower part sides, the bent parts having the same thickness as that of the guide plate 10, and a guide part opened gradually wider is provided on the face side of the member. The bent part on the upper part side is split into at least two parts, and is provided with a slant surface for making elastic contact with the projected streak part 12 when the member 20 is fitted to the guide plate 10. The bent part on the lower part side of the member 20 is provided with a fastening part which is opposed to the back side of the guide plate when being guided by the projected streak part 12 and which is located on the lower side of the lower surface of the guide plate 10 when the slant surface is made to ride on by pressing the member 20. Thus, the paper width determining member 200 can be elastically fitted to the paper guide plate 10 to prevent chattering easily and without need for a special elastic member, and assembling and disassembling operations can be simplified. |
