<p>A curative compsn. (I) for epoxy resins comprises: (a) 0.02 - 0.99 equiv.% monomethylamine adduct which is the reaction prod. of monomethylamine and a polyglycidyl ether reacted in a ratio of greater than 2 moles of monomethylamine per equiv. of epoxide and contg. a max. of 25 equiv.% tert. amine, and (b) 0.01 - 0.98 equiv.% amine co-curative for epoxy resins. Also claimed are: (i) a curative compsn. (II) for epoxy resins comprising an amine co-curative of polyalkyleneamine, amidoamine, polyamide, amine adduct or cyclic diamine; (ii) a curable epoxy resin compsn. comprising a polyepoxide resin and the above curative compsn. (I); and (iii) a curable epoxy resin compsn. comprising a polyepoxide resin and a curative comprising the compsn. (II).</p> |
