摘要 In a method of atomic absorption spectroscopy of a sample analyte in an atomiser by location- and time-dependent atomic absorption measurement over the cross-section of the absorption space of the atomiser and simultaneous determination of the atomiser surface temperature, the temperature field in the absorption space is restructured from the determined surface temperatures. Location- and time-dependent particle numbers of the absorbed analyte atoms are determined from the atomic absorption measurements, and the absorption profile, taking into account analyte line profile-affecting effects and the reconstructed temperature field is determined. The time-dependent total number of absorbed analyte atoms is determined from the location- and time-dependent particle numbers. Also claimed is an atomic absorption spectroscopic apparatus having a radiation source (1), an atomiser (3), a location- and time-resolving spectrometer (9,11) and a device (9,10) f or determining the surface temperatures of the atomiser, the apparatus also having devices (12-15) for carrying out the above steps (a) to (c).
